Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this senior leadership role leads corporate communications, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement. The candidate will serve as a key ambassador and trusted communications advisor to senior leadership, driving local and global strategies to elevate reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications: Formulate integrated communication strategies, messaging architectures, and ecosystem storytelling to highlight innovation breakthroughs, talent achievements, and corporate priorities globally.
Public Affairs & Media Relations: Build relationships with senior government officials, investors, media, and key opinion leaders. Oversee communications for major events, policy developments, and international delegations.
Issues & Crisis Management: Provide strategic counsel to senior management, assess reputational risks, and manage crisis communications effectively.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with internal business units to align messaging and run targeted stakeholder engagement programs.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and build a high-performing public affairs and communications team.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related discipline (Master's preferred).
Experience: Minimum 20 years of relevant experience, including 10+ years leading a sizable team, preferably within an MNC or complex matrix organization. I&T sector experience is an advantage.
Track Record: Proven success in public affairs, executive comms, reputation/crisis management, and building strong government/media networks.
Leadership & Fit: Confident, proactive, and collaborative leader with strong strategic acumen and an appreciation for emerging media technologies.
Languages: Trilingual fluency in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua (written and spoken).
