About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and practice-driven Senior Social Worker to lead complex casework, strengthen professional standards and drive impactful programmes at individual, group and community levels.
This is a leadership role for a seasoned practitioner who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about mentoring others, shaping service delivery and advancing evidence-based practice.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring quality outcomes for clients while contributing to organisational growth and innovation in social services.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Casework Leadership
Lead and manage complex cases from intake to sustainable closure
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments integrating multi-source information
Formulate and review intervention plans to ensure effective outcomes
Evaluate case progress and refine strategies where necessary
Review social reports and case documentation for quality and compliance
Group Work Oversight
Design and evaluate structured group work interventions
Supervise facilitation of group programmes
Monitor organisation-wide effectiveness of group initiatives
Community Development & Systems Impact
Develop and implement community development initiatives
Lead environmental scans and community needs assessments
Mobilise community resources and build strategic partnerships
Address service gaps through innovative programme design
Programme Development & Delivery
Lead development of targeted programmes addressing emerging needs
Manage programme implementation and evaluation
Recommend improvements based on data and evidence-based practice
Professional Practice & Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor staff to uphold high standards of care
Support staff wellbeing and self-care planning
Contribute to research and continuous practice improvement
Review and enhance service delivery models
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards and audit frameworks
Coordinate crisis response with partner agencies where required
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong professional relationships with clients, families and external partners
Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated support
Requirements
Qualifications
Degree in Social Work, or
Degree with Graduate Diploma in Social Work from an accredited institution
Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant social work experience
Experience managing complex cases and supervising staff preferred
Registration with the Singapore Association of Social Workers is advantageous
