Job Description

Our client, a global commodities and energy firm is looking for a Trade Support Analyst to be part of the group's trading activities within the APAC Region


As part of the Back Office team, you will report to the Chief Financial Officer. You will collaborate to the fulfillment of the missions of the department and may be involved in projects spanning multiple groups across commercial functions and staff.

* Managing the operational trade lifecycle in a timely manner
* Reducing operational risk to the minimum possible
* Controlling & supporting the front office activities
* Controlling referential such as trading calendars and fixings
* Aligning information system to business evolution Main activities
* Daily Operations:
1. OTC Transactions
▪ Validate trade booking against sales recap
▪ Draft and send deal confirmations to counterparties
▪ Generate cashflow for Invoices & Settlements
▪ Monitor and process collateral margining with counterparties
2. Cleared & Listed Transactions
▪ Reconcile deals against Trading or Clearing Platforms information
▪ Calculate exchange margin calls & challenge clearer statements
▪ Initiate payments in accordance to the clearer authorized threshold/credit Limits
* Maintain fixings & trading calendars to guarantee integrity
* Ensure brokerages are correctly charged and paid
* Update Standard of Procedure for knowledge management purpose
* Liaise with Shanghai Office for the country's related operations/transactions
* Work with Front Office & other Support Functions for fast problem solving and change proposals
* Develop end user tools to streamline and facilitate process within the team
* Provide support for any back office related projects.

What we are looking for
* Graduate with a specialisation in Finance/Economics or Commodities (Master/Degree's)
* 2-5 years working experience with commodities or portfolio management firms dealing with Commodities (Internship included)
* Familiar with derivatives - Oil, Gas and Power products
* Flexible and able to work well in a team
* VBA Skills will be highly preferred
* Knowledge on Physical Oil / Power is a plus.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working in fast-paced environment Technical skills
* Very good command in Information Systems Behavioral skills
