Our client a corporate services firm affiliated with an Asset Management firm is looking to hire for an FP&A consultant. This is an initial contract role until Jan 2021 but is highly extendable/convertible.

Job Scope

Budget and Cashflow Forecast

  • Build 2021 budget and cashflow forecasting models for departments and to feed into company budget (Excel model). Budget includes Technology project and Technology support budgeting.
  • Identify variances between actual and budgeted 2020 financial results, and adjust budget model if required
  • Update 2021 budget drivers, assumptions and costs based on conversations with departments and Senior Leadership.
  • Suggest budget file improvements to increase efficiency
  • Design and implement effective budgeting policies and procedures
  • Following details into presentations

Project Accountant

  • Maintaining accounting policies over treatment of IT project costs, from management and IFRS perspective
  • Setting up and maintaining the technology centers accounting ledgers, and monthly close and reporting
  • Tracking and monitoring of technology projects actual spend against budget, and reporting
  • Frequent billing to the portfolio companies, and chasing of receivables
  • Cashflow management of the technology projects
  • Forecasting and reforecasting for technology center and technology projects
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives for all FP&A and company processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years' experience in Finance (FP&A/ Accounting) or financial services.
  • Experience preparing multi department budgets and forecasts in Excel
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts)
  • Power BI knowledge and experience preferred, but not required
  • Project accounting and cashflow management experience
  • Familiarity with forecasting methods and data analysis
