Job Description

Our client is a leading technology agency that revolutionalises, provides innovative and integrates smart technologies for the healthcare sector.

We are looking for an experienced CyberSecurity Ops Manager who is very knowledgeable of operational technologies in the healthare domain or strong in cybersecurity operations and keen to move into a new domain.


This role will be responsible to provide technology and cyber support to healthcare institutions in private and public healthcare sector. Working with stakeholders on risk assessments and treatment during the life-cycle of medical devices from procurement to decommissioning.

You will be expected to operationalize policies, standards and frameworks, establishing practices that can be deployed and promulgated to healthcare institutions.

As part of Cyber Defence Group, the individual with work closely with the Medical Devices Governance team to uplift cybersecurity posture, identify gaps, implement initiatives and work with institutions to meet full compliance with cybersecurity policies and requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop cybersecurity guidelines and standards for safe deployment, asset management and discovery, monitoring, incident reporting and decommissioning of medical devices.
  • Develop, roll-out and maintain a medical device & operational technology risk assessment framework.
  • Conduct assessment and testing of medical devices to ensure ongoing adherence with prevailing cybersecurity policies, processes and standards, and to determine the operating effectiveness of controls implemented. Assess also against emerging threats and risks.
  • Provide recommendations to mitigate risk and improve the overall IT security posture of the organisation. Facilitate stakeholders to make risk-informed decisions where there are issues, including explanation on the technical details.
  • Provide independent security advisory and recommendations to delivery teams in the design of controls to address regulatory and organizational requirements on cybersecurity.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders (including manufacturers and regulators) to identify and recommend appropriate controls and solutions to enhance healthcare cybersecurity posture.
  • Provide regular reporting to relevant stakeholders, including senior management, on the overall state of MDOT cybersecurity compliance in public healthcare to governance forums.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • IT professional with at least 4 years of experience in Cyber Security, IT Security, IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance or IT Audit.
  • Knowledge on security control requirements, security policies, standards, controls and risk measurements and best practices.
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in Cybersecurity Operations, Healthtech Informatics or Medical devices and related ICT systems
  • Understanding of operating systems, network/system architecture or application design or solutioning would be an advantage.
  • Candidates with ITIL, CISA, CISM and/or CISSP certifications; or Server and/or Network certifications would be an advantage.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direction.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
