Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve salary structures, bonus schemes, and incentive programs to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Lead market benchmarking, job evaluations, and salary surveys to align global and local compensation strategies.
- Implement large-scale compensation and change management initiatives, ensuring smooth organizational adoption.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive benefits strategy including healthcare, leave, and wellness programs to enhance employee value proposition.
- Manage vendor negotiations and broker relationships to optimize cost efficiency and service quality.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, delivering insights through data-driven analysis and leading key stakeholder communications.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a specialized Rewards team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits (C&B) with strong expertise in compensation strategy and workforce planning.
- In-depth knowledge of C&B laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Japan, with experience ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Proven experience managing and developing a small team.
- Demonstrated ability to align compensation strategies with both global and local business objectives.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen and leadership capability.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Fluent (ability to negotiate and present to global stakeholders)

- Experience leading compensation transformation projects within global or multinational organizations.
- Strong exposure to HR systems, data analytics, and technology-driven HR environments.
