Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager Tokyo

Join a global organisation in Tokyo as a Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager, leading enterprise infrastructure projects, IT operations, security, governance and service continuity across a complex technology environment.

This role combines hands-on IT infrastructure project management with responsibility for architecture, security, disaster recovery, IT governance and service management. You will oversee initiatives spanning networks, servers, databases, middleware and related enterprise technologies while partnering closely with business and technology leadership.

This is an opportunity for an experienced bilingual IT professional to drive large-scale infrastructure transformation while strengthening IT security, operational resilience and business continuity across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise enterprise IT infrastructure services across networks, servers, databases, middleware and related technologies.
• Lead infrastructure projects covering system migrations, environment upgrades, enhancements, disaster recovery initiatives and new system development.
• Manage project planning, schedules, budgets, risks, resources and stakeholder coordination across infrastructure initiatives.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture, technical standards, IT governance processes and service management practices.
• Manage IT security activities to support secure and resilient enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Oversee QMS, ISMS, IT audit, disaster recovery and business continuity activities to maintain appropriate governance and compliance.
• Develop and improve IT service continuity and disaster recovery processes.
• Lead vendor and supplier management, including sourcing strategies, service quality and operational performance.
• Manage project governance, budgets, risks and continuous operational improvements across external technology partners.
• Partner with IT leaders, business executives and technical teams to align infrastructure services with organisational requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• 10+ years of professional IT experience, ideally covering enterprise infrastructure operations, architecture and IT service management.
• Strong experience in IT security management, infrastructure architecture and IT service continuity management.
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects, including planning, scheduling, budgets, risks and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience with vendor and supplier management in enterprise IT environments.
• Experience with IT governance, QMS, ISMS and IT audit activities.
• Experience managing enterprise technologies across areas such as networks, servers, databases and middleware.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational background.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with IT leaders and business executives.
• Structured and proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement and service quality.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and senior leadership in an international environment.

• Broad exposure to enterprise infrastructure covering architecture, operations, security and service continuity.
• Experience supporting large-scale or complex enterprise IT environments.
• Experience working closely with senior IT and business leadership on infrastructure transformation and governance initiatives.
