In this high-impact in-house IT infrastructure role, you will lead the planning, design, and modernization of resilient, highly available infrastructure across large-scale WAN/LAN networks, cloud platforms, and multiple business locations.
You will also help introduce SRE practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and infrastructure visualization while integrating modern technologies with existing legacy environments. Key Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable IT infrastructure for corporate offices, retail stores, distribution centers, and other business locations, including the operational processes required to maintain stable services.
- Lead the design and optimization of enterprise connectivity across cloud infrastructure, WAN, LAN, retail networks, and distribution centers.
- Introduce modern infrastructure practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and infrastructure visualization, integrating them progressively with existing legacy environments.
- Drive the standardization and modernization of infrastructure operations using SRE principles to improve reliability, visibility, and operational efficiency.
- Gather and translate business requirements into effective infrastructure solutions in collaboration with internal business teams.
- Manage and negotiate with external technology vendors while using your technical expertise to align stakeholders and deliver infrastructure projects successfully.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide infrastructure, network, authentication, and architecture standards that support future business growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in enterprise IT infrastructure design, implementation, and operations.
- Experience designing and operating network or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects across multiple locations or global environments while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Practical experience in system incident management and infrastructure operations design, including monitoring and incident response.
- Experience working with external technology vendors and service providers is advantageous.
- More than 6 years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business, technology, and vendor teams.
- Ability to lead infrastructure initiatives and coordinate multiple stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving system reliability and operational quality.
- Ability to communicate technical infrastructure requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing and coordinating external infrastructure vendors.
- Knowledge or practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and modern infrastructure operations.
- Experience modernizing legacy infrastructure through automation, standardization, and improved observability.
- Experience with large-scale retail, multi-site, or global enterprise IT environments would be advantageous.
