This hands-on cybersecurity role focuses on security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, cloud security, and security operations (SOC). Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate cybersecurity events and potential threats across corporate, retail, cloud, and infrastructure environments.
- Analyse security alerts and identify suspicious activity, vulnerabilities, and potential security incidents.
- Investigate vulnerabilities and collaborate with technology teams to implement appropriate remediation measures.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of security controls, policies, and operational procedures.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents and assess their potential impact on systems, data, and business operations.
- Coordinate appropriate incident containment, remediation, recovery, and follow-up activities.
- Conduct security assessments to identify risks, control gaps, and opportunities to strengthen the organisation's defensive posture.
- Support vulnerability management activities across enterprise infrastructure, applications, networks, and cloud environments.
- Work with security monitoring, SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and related cybersecurity technologies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to embed security requirements into technology initiatives.
- Translate technical security findings into practical remediation recommendations for relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in cybersecurity resilience and security operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Professional experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, SOC Operations, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience investigating security events, vulnerabilities, or cybersecurity incidents.
- Experience working with enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems, and cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with security monitoring and SIEM technologies.
- Experience or knowledge of endpoint protection and endpoint security technologies.
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and vulnerability management tools and processes.
- Ability to investigate technical security issues methodically and translate findings into practical solutions.
- Understanding of security controls and operational security procedures.
- Experience working with technical teams to remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.

- Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or enterprise cybersecurity environment.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint detection and protection, or vulnerability scanning technologies.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity within retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or other customer-facing environments.
- Knowledge of cloud security and security monitoring across cloud infrastructure.
- Experience conducting security assessments and identifying control gaps.
- Knowledge of incident containment, remediation, recovery, and post-incident improvement.
- Experience securing environments that handle sensitive customer or business data.
- Understanding of security considerations across corporate IT, retail systems, digital services, and cloud platforms.
