Key Responsibilities
- Align local HR operations with global strategies to ensure consistent and efficient service delivery
- Lead and improve in-house and offshore HR services, managing escalations and partnering cross-functionally
- Analyze data to identify trends and implement process improvements that enhance employee experience
- Manage performance of HR vendors and systems, driving operational excellence and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure full compliance with employment laws in Japan (and Korea), managing audits and regulatory reporting
- Serve as system owner for key HR platforms, ensuring accurate and compliant employee data
- Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation across regional teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in HR operations, preferably in regional or global environments
- Strong background in HCM systems, case management tools, and vendor oversight
Knowledge & Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Japanese labor laws (Korean labor law knowledge is a plus)
- Proven experience leading teams and cross-functional projects
Soft Skills:
- Growth mindset and open communicator
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business level
- Korean: (Preferred, but not mandatory)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing multi-country HR operations
- Demonstrated ability to drive digital transformation in HR
- Strong interest in talent development and leadership coaching
