Senior Buyer - Indirect Procurement | Automotive | Tokyo

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for indirect goods and services-from RFQ to contract execution

• Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for value and efficiency

• Manage tender and bidding processes while ensuring regulatory compliance

• Negotiate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms and minimize risk

• Collaborate with cross-brand teams to maximize procurement synergies

• Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, and purchase orders

• Guide internal departments on best practices and compliance in procurement

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience:

  • 5-7 years in indirect procurement across categories such as marketing, IT, logistics, and facilities

  • Strategic sourcing, cost analysis, and tender management experience

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP MM familiarity is a plus

  • Deep knowledge of procurement regulations and vendor compliance procedures

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and cross-functional communication abilities

  • Proactive mindset, self-starter, with solid decision-making and project management skills

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Fluent

• English: Intermediate to Business level

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Background in international sourcing and cross-brand procurement

• Experience purchasing real estate services or non-production materials
