A global healthcare company specialising in advanced cancer testing is seeking a Product Marketing Specialist to support product marketing, medical communications, digital marketing, and commercial initiatives in Japan.
In this role, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, medical experts, and internal teams to deliver educational events, promotional content, digital campaigns, and product launches. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional with healthcare or life sciences experience to build expertise across product marketing, marketing planning, and commercial strategy.
You will also have the opportunity to gradually take on broader product management responsibilities, providing a clear pathway toward a future Product Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise educational events, webinars, and industry conferences for healthcare professionals, ensuring effective planning and execution.
- Collaborate with medical experts, commercial teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality marketing initiatives.
- Create medical and promotional content and coordinate internal legal and compliance reviews.
- Manage digital marketing channels, including website content updates and online marketing activities.
- Conduct market research and analyse insights to support product positioning, messaging, and marketing planning.
- Support new product launches by coordinating marketing activities across relevant teams and stakeholders.
- Contribute to product marketing and commercial strategy while developing broader product management expertise over time.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or commercial roles within healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or related industries.
- Experience creating promotional or medical marketing content for healthcare professionals.
- Experience organising events, webinars, or industry conferences is preferred.
- Strong interest in science and healthcare, with the ability to communicate confidently with doctors and medical experts.
- Experience in cancer care or medical diagnostics is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a healthcare sales representative or account manager is preferred.
- Experience supporting digital marketing strategies or new product launches is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical experts and cross-functional teams.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Intermediate to Business level.
