An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Account Manager to join a global biotechnology company at the forefront of genomic innovation. In this customer-facing sales role, you will drive business growth across Japan by promoting cutting-edge gene sequencing technologies while building lasting relationships with researchers, laboratories, and scientific leaders. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to identify new business opportunities and achieve revenue targets across Japan.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with researchers, key customers, academic institutions, and scientific stakeholders.
- Partner with local distributors by providing sales support, product training, and commercial guidance to maximise market success.
- Collaborate with technical support and cross-functional global teams to deliver outstanding customer solutions and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate sales activities within the CRM system while monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in life sciences sales, account management, or scientific commercial roles.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry.
- Experience working with CRM systems and managing a structured sales pipeline.
- Experience collaborating with distributors or channel partners is highly desirable.
- Advanced scientific qualifications such as a Master's degree or PhD are an advantage.
- Experience selling scientific instruments, genomics solutions, sequencing technologies, or laboratory equipment is preferred.
- Previous experience working with universities, research institutes, or hospitals is beneficial.
