Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies aligned with corporate and brand objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry stakeholders.
- Create and distribute press releases, announcements, and thought leadership content in Japanese.
- Plan and manage media campaigns, press briefings, and industry events.
- Partner with marketing and leadership teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across communications initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to identify opportunities to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Coordinate cross-functional communications with internal teams and external partners.
- Support crisis communication planning and response when required.
- Analyze PR campaign results and provide insights to improve communication performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations.
- Experience managing PR campaigns from strategy planning through execution.
- Proven experience writing press releases and external communications in Japanese.
- Experience working in consumer-facing industries such as digital platforms, technology, travel, or e-commerce.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing and business stakeholders.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and storytelling ability to develop compelling brand narratives and corporate messaging.
- Ability to manage multiple PR initiatives independently in fast-paced environments.
