A leading global automotive technology supplier is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive strategic customer growth and business development across Japan's automotive industry. This role offers the opportunity to manage key automotive OEM and Tier 1 customer relationships while supporting the growth of advanced technologies including automotive electronics, connectivity, sensing systems, ADAS, and next-generation mobility solutions.
As a trusted commercial partner to major automotive customers, you will lead account strategy, revenue growth initiatives, and customer engagement activities while collaborating with international teams across engineering, product development, and sales functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand strategic automotive customer accounts, driving long-term business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Lead sales and business development activities for the Electronics Division, achieving country-level revenue objectives.
- Develop and execute mid- to long-term account strategies aligned with customer roadmaps and business priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across OEM and Tier 1 automotive customers.
- Coordinate closely with internal sales, engineering, product, and program teams to support customer requirements.
- Lead commercial negotiations, business reviews, and account development initiatives.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the expansion of advanced automotive technology solutions.
- Monitor market trends, customer developments, and competitive activity to drive strategic account growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of sales, account management, or business development experience within the automotive industry.
- Proven experience managing key accounts and developing long-term customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of automotive sales processes, commercial operations, and customer engagement strategies.
- Experience developing and executing mid- to long-term account plans and business growth initiatives.
- Experience working within international or global business environments.
- Business-level English proficiency with experience supporting multinational stakeholders.
