Join a global insurance group as an HR Business Partner supporting business leaders across Japan. In this role, you will drive HR strategy, strengthen leadership capability, and support performance, talent development, DEI, and employee relations. You will act as a trusted advisor, shaping people initiatives that align with business goals while contributing to a collaborative, high-impact HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusted partnerships with leaders, managers, and employees to strengthen engagement and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide HR guidance to address operational and workforce challenges, offering strategic and practical solutions.
- Design and deliver HR initiatives aligned with business needs, including performance management and talent development programs.
- Manage talent processes such as reviews, succession planning, mobility, compensation cycles, and recruitment partnerships.
- Drive DEI initiatives that promote inclusion, equity, and a positive employee experience.
- Collaborate with other HR Business Partners to ensure consistency and compliance across Japan HR programs and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5-10 years of HRBP or HR Generalist experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders in a business-partnering capacity.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining integrity and urgency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Intermediate to Business level.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a global or multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with HR programs in large, matrixed organizations.
