In this role, you will provide technical leadership in managing high-availability Oracle database environments, with a strong focus on Exadata, cloud migration, and DevOps automation. Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and upgrade Oracle databases across complex environments, including patching and performance tuning
- Design and execute backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies, including DR switchovers and failovers
- Monitor database environments to ensure high performance and conduct proactive capacity planning
- Lead database migration projects from on-premise to cloud-based architectures
- Manage Exadata ESS, GRID, and Oracle Home versions to ensure system stability
- Act as project lead for database initiatives, collaborating with global teams and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA supporting mission-critical environments
- Strong expertise in Oracle RAC, DataGuard, and GoldenGate
- Experience with Exadata environments and cloud migration projects
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Ansible, and Python
- Strong database performance tuning and optimisation skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills for working with global teams and vendors
- High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team success
Language Requirements:
- English: Business level
- Japanese: Basic level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as OEM, Grafana, and Kibana
- Oracle DBA or cloud certifications (OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure)
