Technical Sales / Inside Sales
Location: Limerick, Ireland (On-site, 5 days per week)
Salary: Competitive base salary + commission + pension + benefits

Our client is a specialist engineering company based in Limerick that designs, manufactures, and supplies chemical storage solutions for a broad range of industries. The business works with blue-chip customers across healthcare, pharmaceutical, industrial, and facilities sectors, providing bespoke chemical storage units incorporating features such as ventilation, air conditioning, electrical systems, and safety compliance requirements.
The company operates a unique sales model, generating a significant volume of enquiries through its established network, website, and industry reputation. As a result, this role focuses on technical sales support, solution specification, and customer engagement rather than traditional cold-calling or direct sales activity.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional to join a growing engineering business. The successful candidate will work closely with facilities teams, architects, contractors, hospitals, and end users to understand storage requirements, develop specifications, and guide projects from initial enquiry through to approved design and quotation.
Unlike traditional sales roles, there is minimal direct business development responsibility. The majority of opportunities are generated through inbound web enquiries, existing customer relationships, and established industry networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound sales enquiries received through the company website and referral network.
- Engage with customers to understand project requirements and application needs.
- Interpret architectural, engineering, and facility drawings.
- Work with customers to specify suitable chemical storage solutions.
- Review and coordinate CAD drawings and approval drawings with customers.
- Liaise with internal engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare commercial quotations based on approved specifications.
- Support projects involving bespoke chemical storage units, including air-conditioned and electrically integrated solutions.
- Build strong relationships with facilities managers, architects, consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Ensure projects progress efficiently from enquiry through design approval and order placement.
- Maintain accurate CRM and project records.

We are seeking someone with a strong technical aptitude who can confidently discuss engineering-based products with customers and interpret technical information.

Experience Required
- Experience working with technical products.
- Comfortable discussing product applications and technical requirements with customers.
- Strong commercial awareness and customer-facing skills.
- Experience within manufacturing, construction products, building services, storage systems, modular units, HVAC-related products, industrial equipment, or similar sectors would be advantageous.
