The Site Electrical Engineer Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and sustainable operation of all electrical infrastructure at our manufacturing site. This position bridges design assurance, compliance, and long-term reliability, focusing on governance, technical expertise, stakeholder collaboration, and innovation. The role supports capital and local RTB projects, facility upgrades, and commissioning, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous learning. The role will work with electrical technicians to support professional development, best practices and continuous improvement of the site's electrical infrastructure and safety standards.

- Lead the implementation of the organisation electrical engineering standards into all capital and RTB projects. Develop, support and provide electrical design, construction and verification deliverables in accordance with project scope, schedule, and applicable standards, including technical and commercial documentation, technical input and expertise.
- Establish standards for electrical systems and technical documentation relating to electrical systems, meeting applicable industry best practice, national codes and the organisation engineering requirements.
- Set and ensure adherence to handover and lifecycle management expectations. Ensure documentation packs are available, current, accurate and at an appropriate standard for all electrical infrastructure on site.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with GEP, GMP and regulatory requirements, relevant IEC / IEEE / ETCI standards, and site-specific design practices.
- Support design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain site-specific electrical risk mitigation plans, addressing issues such as Arc Flash protection, ATEX compliance, and emergency electrical scenarios.
- Support ongoing electrical system maintenance and lifecycle management. Diagnose and resolve system failures and handle deviations (unexpected events) with support from the maintenance team, with minimal disruption to site operations.
- Monitor electrical usage data and trends to support sustainability and optimisation initiatives.
- Support the development of electrical system and electrical safety skillsets within the engineering team, developing training programs and delivering training to maintenance craft and other relevant personnel.

Education:
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Level 8) or related discipline.
Experience:
- 5 years' experience in an electrical engineering role within industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar regulated environments.
- Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities on live sites.
- Familiarity with GMP requirements and working in regulated manufacturing facilities desirable.
- Personal skills:
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface effectively with contractors, vendors, and project teams.
