Head of Communications, Media Relation - Private Bank

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive regional PR and media strategy to enhance brand visibility, awareness, and influence across key Asian markets.
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with journalists and media partners in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the region.
- Create compelling narratives and high-quality content, including press releases, thought leadership articles, client communications, webpages, brochures, social media posts, and marketing materials.
- Ensure consistent and professional representation of the brand across all channels (print, digital, and collateral).
- Lead the regional awards strategy, including nominations and submissions, working closely with business teams to secure prestigious industry recognitions.
- Monitor media coverage and campaign effectiveness, providing regular performance reports and actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Proactively manage reputational risks through effective issues management and coordinated crisis response.
- Support the planning and execution of high-quality client events and staff engagement initiatives to strengthen relationships and reinforce brand positioning.
Requirements / Competencies:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in communications and media relations, ideally within the financial services industry (banking, private banking, or asset management).
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful media and PR campaigns in Asia, particularly Hong Kong and Singapore.
- Strong existing media network and relationships in Hong Kong and Singapore.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin and written Chinese (Traditional & Simplified) is a strong advantage.
- Solid experience in event management and client/staff engagement activities.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a regional, cross-geography team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
