Strategic Procurement Manager
An established corporate group operating across domestic and international markets is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager. This pivotal role will oversee the centralisation and modernisation of purchasing operations, driving commercial value across a diverse portfolio of major enterprise projects.
Reporting to the executive team, you will be responsible for transforming transactional buying into a forward-thinking, value-driven sourcing operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute commercial purchasing frameworks to optimise group spend, leveraging bulk buying power, vendor rebates, and favourable commercial terms.
- Establish, maintain, and audit centralised pricing indexes to streamline estimation and project procurement.
- Strategically oversee corporate overheads and operational utility categories to minimise business costs.
- Identify and develop international supply routes to mitigate risk and improve material and service availability.
- Direct and mentor the purchasing team, establishing clear KPIs and fostering professional development.
- Track, analyse, and report on procurement metrics, ensuring cost-reduction targets directly support the bottom line.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with key suppliers while ensuring a competitive matrix of backup vendors.
Candidate Profile
- Solid background in commercial procurement management or senior purchasing roles.
- Prior experience within complex commercial environments, large-scale operations, or major matrixed industries is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in high-value contract negotiations and tracking market commodity and supply trends.
- Proficient in data analysis, spend profiling, and utilising supply chain software to identify savings.
