This contract position is focused on overseeing third-party technology providers, ensuring effective delivery, strong collaboration, and controlled risk across externally delivered services. The role holder will manage key supplier relationships and help ensure that external partnerships deliver measurable value to the organisation.
- Design and maintain structured approaches for managing external service providers
- Take ownership of relationships with critical third-party partners, particularly those delivering essential or high-value services
- Work alongside internal functions to define and maintain partner engagement and delivery plans
- Oversee financial processes related to suppliers, including spend tracking and reporting cycles
- Serve as a central contact for resolving supplier-related challenges, including escalations and disputes
- Proactively identify and manage risks associated with outsourced services
- Contribute to sourcing activities, including supplier selection and commercial discussions
- Track and assess supplier performance, driving improvements in service quality, innovation, and overall contribution
- Ensure suppliers meet agreed commitments and deliverables
- Support contract lifecycle activities, including commercial terms, performance measures, and financial governance

- Extensive experience in supplier, vendor, or partner management roles
- Relevant academic background or equivalent professional experience in technology or related disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and build effective working relationships
- Understanding of externally delivered IT or technology services
- Awareness of supplier markets, industry dynamics, and emerging trends
- Familiarity with established approaches to supplier and service management
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into supplier expectations
- Knowledge of commercial models, contract structures, and performance frameworks
- Experience managing budgets or financial aspects of third-party services
- Exposure to service management frameworks (such as IT service best practices) within large or complex organisations
