SAP Data & Analytics Consultant
Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Data & Analytics Consultant to act as the bridge between SAP functional teams, business stakeholders, and data & analytics teams. This role is focused on understanding end-to-end SAP business processes, translating reporting requirements into analytics-ready data models, and ensuring data is structured correctly to support scalable reporting and insights.
The successful candidate will combine strong SAP functional knowledge with a deep understanding of SAP data structures and reporting requirements. They will be comfortable working across both business and technical teams to ensure data solutions accurately reflect SAP processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and document end-to-end SAP business processes, including areas such as Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Map SAP business processes to the underlying data structures and identify key data relationships across modules.
- Define and document SAP tables, joins, data lineage, and data flows required for reporting and analytics.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into analytics-ready datasets.
- Partner with data engineering and BI teams to design data models that support reporting and self-service analytics.
- Validate report logic, KPIs, and metrics to ensure alignment with SAP business processes and source system data.
- Support data quality, reconciliation, and governance activities across SAP reporting initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison between SAP SMEs, business users, data teams, and reporting stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Strong experience working with SAP functional modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, or related areas.
- Deep understanding of SAP data structures, table relationships, and document flows.
- Experience supporting reporting, analytics, or business intelligence solutions using SAP data.
- Strong knowledge of data modelling concepts including fact and dimension modelling, joins, hierarchies, and data relationships.
- Ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working across both functional and technical teams.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and CDS Views.
- Exposure to SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Experience with enterprise data platforms and cloud analytics environments.
- Understanding of ETL processes, data integration, and data pipelines.
- Experience supporting Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
