Client
Our client is looking to add a permanent FP&A analyst to their existing team. This role is permanent with hybrid working 3 days a week onsite. The role will lead and optimise performance and strategic decision making across business units in the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Lead the financial planning cycle, from annual budgeting, monthly re-forecasts and the updated to the three and five-year plans.
- Understand the current model used by the Company and introduce improvements or design a new financial model that fits the organisation's needs.
- Lead business partnering activities to key leaders.
- Provide inputs to any meeting in relation to long-term planning and its consequences in terms of financial impact.
- Provide monthly performance commentary to the senior management team with proposed actions, risks and opportunities.
- Lead monthly performance reviews with department heads.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and what-if scenarios on the company financials and investment opportunities.
- Input into the integration of the Company's information systems (manual and electronic), modernising and reducing the level of manual intervention.
- Support investment appraisals for acquisitions, greenfield projects, brownfield projects, and new product offerings.
- Support monthly cash flow forecasting.
- Oversee Capex execution control in terms of planning and scope.
- Work with the Group FP&A team on ad hoc requests for wider group projects.
- Supports the team in preparing all the reporting deliverables .
- Prepares the monthly country management pack submission for CFO review and update.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by the CFO.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent finance qualification
- Experience working in Financial Planning and Analysis
- Modelling experience: ability to build complex Excel models, maintain and run financial scenarios, analyse and evaluate the outputs; understanding drivers and connections of the 3 statements
- Good understanding of accounting principles and tax knowledge
- Knowledge of using SAP and SAGE preferable
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Understanding of IFRS and local GAAP
- Excellent analytical, business knowledge and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail & problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management, especially with senior and executive.
Personal profile
- Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA
- This role requires industry experience either in a FP&A role or in a financial reporting role.
- This role may suit someone in a larger Finance function that wants to take on more responsibility.
- This is a very hands on role, suitable for someone interested in gaining full business knowledge of how all departments and functions interact and influence the financials.
