A leading international PLC is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded qualified accountant to join its Group Financial Reporting team. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop Group accounting policies, procedures, and reporting standards in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the Group consolidation system (SAP BPC), Chart of Accounts, and Trial Balance structure.
- Support monthly Group consolidation and reporting activities.
- Assist with the preparation of half-year and annual statutory reporting, including the Group Annual Report.
- Lead and support technical accounting projects, including IFRS updates, acquisitions, disposals, impairment reviews, and accounting position papers.
- Oversee lease accounting across the Group, ensuring compliance with IFRS requirements and maintenance of lease reporting systems.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to Business Unit Finance teams and Group functions.
- Coordinate audit requests, support walkthroughs, and assist with external stakeholder reporting requirements.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements across the finance function.
About You
- ACA qualified accountant, ideally trained within a Big 4 environment.
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualified experience gained in industry or practice.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge, ideally with exposure to group consolidation.
- Experience auditing or reporting within a large multinational or PLC environment would be advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP BPC, Power BI, AI tools, or similar reporting technologies would be beneficial.
