    We are currently recruiting for a skilled EC&I Technician to join our South Dublin based client's on-site engineering team. This shift-based role plays a vital part in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across a highly regulated facility. You'll be responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure and supporting continuous operations in line with strict quality and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and fault-finding on electrical and instrumentation equipment (e.g., sensors, PLCs, SCADA systems, control panels, switchgear).

    • Support the operation and reliability of automated systems, instrumentation loops, and safety interlocks.

    • Troubleshoot process-related control issues and execute timely repairs during breakdowns or alarms.

    • Interpret electrical and P&ID schematics to support accurate fault diagnosis and system modifications.

    • Ensure compliance with GMP, ATEX, and regulatory requirements including documentation of all maintenance activities.

    • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and regulatory inspections.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Trade qualification or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related discipline (Level 6/7 or equivalent).

    • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical, food, energy, or chemical sectors).

    • Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation calibration, and electrical systems up to 400V.

    • Working knowledge of health and safety practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), ATEX, and confined space protocols.

    • Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern including days/nights and weekends.

    Desirable:

    • Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo)

    • Experience with DCS or SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ABB)

    • Expereince in heavy plant or the power industry is desirable.
