    An excellent contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a leading technology delivery team within a large-scale enterprise organisation. This team provides project and programme management services across a broad technology portfolio.

    In this role, you will lead a multi-year programme focused on delivering new technologies, processes, and capabilities to enhance the organisation's cyber resilience and protect its critical infrastructure, data, and digital assets.

    Candidates must demonstrate strong technical project management skills, with a proven track record in delivering large-scale, complex cyber security programmes. You will be responsible for achieving key project KPIs - including timeline, scope, budget, and quality - while ensuring appropriate governance is in place.

    The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of IT operations, network infrastructure, and emerging cyber resilience technologies. You will lead a cross-functional team, working closely with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to ensure successful delivery. The position is supported by a dedicated Technology Lead and IT Architecture Lead.

    This role will operate under the guidance of a Senior Programme Manager within the Solution Delivery function.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Planning & Execution - Develop comprehensive programme and project plans, managing interdependencies across workstreams from initiation through to post-implementation.

    • Issue & Risk Management - Proactively identify and manage risks and issues, driving innovative solutions to meet key project KPIs.

    • Budget & Resourcing - Ensure the programme is adequately resourced and funded to meet quality standards and delivery timelines.

    • Stakeholder Communication - Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, providing regular updates and maintaining transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

    • Governance - Establish and maintain appropriate governance structures, ensuring consistent reporting and stakeholder engagement.

    • Escalation Management - Identify and escalate issues accurately and promptly to ensure swift resolution.

    • Change Management - Lead change initiatives to support smooth adoption of new technologies and processes across the organisation.

    Required Attributes, Knowledge, and Experience

    • 10+ years of project management experience, including at least 5 years delivering large-scale, complex business and technology transformation programmes.

    • Proven experience in implementing major cyber security projects, with strong knowledge of risk, compliance, and resilience.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage integrated teams of internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and lead change across the organisation.

    • Strong adaptability in dynamic business environments with multiple competing priorities.

    • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to propose effective technology and process solutions aligned with business objectives.

    • Proficient in structured project management methodologies across the full project lifecycle and tools such as MS Project and Jira.

    • Experience working within a hybrid delivery framework, combining Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.

    • Degree-level education, ideally complemented by a professional project management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
