Product Owner - AI - Funds

Seeking an experienced and highly-driven Senior Associate Director/Product Owner (Contract) to lead the implementation of a critical internal Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution. This role is focused on leveraging cutting-edge Agentic AI or Generative AI (Gen AI) frameworks to drive efficiency and innovation within our enterprise operations.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep and robust background as a Product Owner within the Fund Accounting industry, bringing expertise in complex financial processes and regulatory environments. While prior experience with AI is a plus, a proven track record of successful product delivery and stakeholder management within the specified financial domain is the core requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, articulate, and champion the product vision and roadmap for the internal AI solution, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and technology strategy.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (including Operations, Technology, and Executive Leadership) to understand pain points, opportunities, and business value.

• Conduct thorough analysis of Fund Accounting workflows to identify the highest-impact areas for AI/Gen AI application.

• Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering through development, deployment, and adoption.

• Translate complex business needs from the Fund Accounting domain into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs for the engineering teams.

• Act as the primary bridge between the business subject matter experts and the technical AI/development teams.

• Prioritize the product backlog effectively, focusing on delivering maximum business value per sprint in a fast-paced agile environment.

• Serve as the voice of the customer (internal users) and the business for the development team.

• Manage expectations and provide regular, transparent updates to Senior Leadership and Deepanshu Kumar Berry's team regarding product progress, risks, and benefits realization.

• Facilitate necessary ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and product reviews.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience as a Product Owner, ideally working with complex internal enterprise solutions.

• Strong, non-negotiable experience in Fund Accounting. Deep knowledge of associated processes, data, and regulatory demands is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and using tools to manage product backlogs (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

• Proven ability to onboard quickly and drive immediate value in a high-impact contract position.

Desired Attributes

• Experience working with or implementing solutions using Agentic AI or Generative AI (Gen AI) technologies.

• A technical understanding sufficient to engage in meaningful discussions with AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists.

• Experience in the financial services sector beyond Fund Accounting (e.g., Asset Management, Custody).
