Our client, a globally recognised company, is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Payroll Support Analyst to join their Global Payroll team based here in Cork for a 12-month period with potential for extension. They are looking for a technically proficient individual with a strong background in data automation, and payroll processing to provide comprehensive payroll support for multiple countries. This is a critical position that involves providing high-quality customer service to both internal and external groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support for global payroll systems by addressing technical defects, enhancements, and routine maintenance. You'll work with business users, payroll managers, and vendors to define and document functional requirements for technical solutions.
- Utilising platforms like Dataiku to design and implement automated data workflows, and Tableau to develop and maintain dashboards for real-time payroll metrics and reporting. You will also apply basic AI/ML techniques for predictive analysis and anomaly detection to optimise payroll processes.
- Hands-on experience with integrations such as General Ledger postings, Stock, Benefits, and banking, as well as third-party connections. You will also create and maintain manual G2 interfaces for large-scale data uploads.
- Identifying, analysing, and resolving discrepancies between internal HR/Employee systems and the payroll system. You will ensure all documentation is properly maintained according to company policies and legal requirements.
- Creating and updating system issue tickets and holding regular calls with IS&T, external vendors, and business partners to monitor issue resolution. You will also participate in cross-functional testing, creating scenarios and executing test cases to support changes moving to production.
Key Requirements
- A proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and an experience in global payroll processes.
- Strong technical knowledge of payroll systems and processes, with specific experience in Employee Systems, Kronos, and ADP Globalview Payroll.
- Familiarity with the SAP HR Payroll modules is essential.
- Knowledge of Workday processes and integration with payroll systems is highly preferred.
- Proven experience with data automation platforms, including Dataiku, and a strong understanding of data visualisation tools like Tableau is a distinct advantage
- An understanding of basic AI/ML models.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll functions for global countries, with the ability to analyse and explain all components of payroll processing.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with a variety of internal and external partners. You must be able to manage timely communications regarding critical issues and their impact on systems and customers.
- A technical Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, we require 5+ years of experience in similar roles
