The Stores-Stock Controller plays a critical role in managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient operation of the supply chain, and maintaining optimal stock levels across all production and storage facilities. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability of required goods while minimizing overstock and understock situations. Perform regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
* Stock Replenishment: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
* Warehouse Operations: Support and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods. Ensure proper documentation and tracking of stock movements.
* Data Management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders, deliveries, and returns using inventory management software.
* Quality Control: Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy. Report any damage or discrepancies to suppliers and arrange for replacements or refunds.
* Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized storage area to prevent accidents and ensure the security of stock.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, production, and sales, to align inventory management with overall business objectives.
* Customer Service: Address any stock-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally.
* Education: Leaving Certificate is required. A degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience: Proven experience in stores area management, inventory control, warehousing, or a similar role. Experience with inventory management software is highly desirable.
* Licences: Current Forklift licence is essential.
* Technical Skills: Experience in using inventory management software and MS Office applications. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve inventory-related issues efficiently.
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in recording and managing stock data.
* Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
