Overview
We are partnering with a highly respected, global organisation operating within a regulated manufacturing environment to appoint a Procurement Specialist on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned purchasing categories, developing both short- and long-term sourcing strategies
- Conduct market analysis, including consumption trends and supplier insights
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, supplier selection, and negotiations
- Review and manage supplier commercial terms (price, quality, delivery timelines)
- Support supplier qualification and maintain preferred vendor lists
- Ensure accurate and timely updates across procurement systems (including SAP)
- Oversee material planning, sourcing, and scheduling to ensure continuity of supply
- Manage budget responsibilities and deliver cost-effective procurement solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and process efficiency
- Support audits, investigations, and compliance activities (GMP, HSE, quality standards)
- Maintain contract databases and procurement documentation
- Contribute to change control processes and material specification reviews where required
Requirements
- Degree qualified (Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Management or similar preferred)
- 3-5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain roles
- Experience working with complex or regulated materials (e.g. chemicals) is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of sourcing, procurement, and negotiation principles
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Fluent in English
