Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a Global Pharmaceutical company, with a large shared service center based in Cork, on a broad Senior Finance Manager role. This role will be an initial contract role with a strong scope to extend to a longer term opportunity, with the finance team embracing technology and the organisation going through a strong period of growth. This role will oversee technical accounting and compliance, business partner with financial operations, and analyse strategic licensing and commercial agreements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes within a specific functional area
- In depth financial analysis, delivering clear, analytical variance commentary that contextualizes underlying business performance drivers
- Develop high-quality management reporting packages and external schedules to support consolidated group financial disclosures and decision-making
- Ensure SOX compliance and operational integrity
- Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Technical Accounting, and Commercial Operations to evaluate, structure, and execute complex business transactions.
Key criteria:
- ACA (or equivalent) qualification alongside a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Big 4 training and background working in multi-national organizations (biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred)
- 8+ years experience and proven technical accounting expertise across U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance
- A strong communicator and someone who can encorporate a commercial perspective to technical accounting and compliance
