About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly responsible Privacy & Law Enforcement Compliance Specialist (Portuguese) to support our Data Protection and Compliance function. This role is responsible for reviewing, processing, and responding to legal requests from law enforcement agencies and individuals seeking access to personal information.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to operate in a highly sensitive, fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding customer privacy while ensuring lawful and compliant responses to external data requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming legal requests from law enforcement agencies for customer information
- Evaluate requests for legal sufficiency, completeness, and compliance with applicable data protection laws and company policies
- Identify standard vs. non-standard or exigent requests and escalate appropriately
- Retrieve relevant information from internal systems in accordance with established procedures
- Prepare and deliver responses using approved templates and protocols
- Maintain accurate records of all requests, responses, and escalations within case management systems
- Support audit readiness and compliance reporting requirements
- Collaborate with internal legal, privacy, and security teams as needed
Required Qualifications
- Experience in compliance, legal operations, privacy, trust & safety, regulatory response, or a related function
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of structured work accurately
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in identifying non-standard or high-risk scenarios
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency working across multiple systems, databases, and case management tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing subpoenas, court orders, warrants, or similar legal documentation
- Familiarity with data protection and privacy principles
- Experience working in a high-volume, SLA-driven environment
- Additional language skills are a plus
