Our client, a rapidly growing and dynamic player in the modern engineering and utility infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist/Accounts Assistant to join their Cork-based finance team. This is an interim role designed to support their operations over the next 3 to 6 months.
The role will include:
- Payroll: End-to-end processing of weekly payroll.
- Accounts Receivable: Updating customer receipts daily and preparing sales invoices.
- Accounts Payable: Posting purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and processing regular payment runs.
- Ledger & Banking: Posting sales invoices and completing monthly bank reconciliations.
- Compliance: Assisting with standard Irish revenue returns.
- Office Support: Handling general administrative duties including emails and telephone queries.
As this role is an urgent requirement, candidates matching the below criteria will be considered:
- As this is an urgent contract cover, candidates who are immediately available or on a very short notice period will be highly favorable.
- Prior, hands-on experience using Sage is highly advantageous.
- Proven, recent experience managing a weekly payroll cycle is essential.
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to hit the ground running in a dynamic environment.
