The practice focuses entirely on non-audit services, ensuring a supportive and practical approach to our clients' financial needs.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Accountant to join a growing team. In this role, you will manage everyday prepare year-end financial statements, and handle income tax and corporation tax returns as well as VAT. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Preparation: Prepare statutory year-end financial statements for limited companies and sole traders to a high standard, ready for final partner review.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit periodic tax returns, including:
- VAT and Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT)
- Income Tax (Form 11 for sole traders and directors)
- Corporation Tax (Form CT1)
- Client Management: Act as a main point of contact for routine client queries, helping them understand their numbers and deadlines.
- Revenue Liaison: Assist in managing communications and submissions with Revenue via ROS (Revenue Online Service).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within an Irish accounting practice.
- Qualifications: CPA/ACCA, or qualified by experience.
- Software Skills: Experience with SAP and Sage40 an advantage, strong MS Excel skills.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently.
