Finance Manager

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in leading the finance function, partnering with the senior leadership team and supporting the continued growth and success of the business.

The Opportunity
As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring strong financial governance while delivering meaningful commercial insight to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
Working closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial reporting, driving budgeting and forecasting activities, improving financial processes and partnering with key stakeholders across the business.
This role offers excellent scope for career progression and is ideally suited to someone looking to step up into a broader, more commercially focused finance leadership position.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have responsibility for:
- Leading the day-to-day finance function and ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting.
- Partnering with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
- Managing budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
- Maintaining strong financial controls, governance and statutory compliance.
- Delivering commercial analysis and performance insights to support business growth.
- Overseeing the annual audit process and key financial reporting requirements.
- Managing the Credit Control function and supporting commercial customer agreements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and operational efficiencies.
- Leading, developing and supporting the finance team.

About You
The successful candidate will be commercially minded, technically strong and confident working in a fast-paced business environment. You will enjoy partnering with senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and driving continuous improvement.
You will ideally possess:
- A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous people management experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into practical business recommendations.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
