Accounts Assistant - Cork City (on-site)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join a growing finance team in Cork City. Working closely with the Financial Controller and senior finance professionals, this role is perfect for someone looking to build on their foundational finance experience in a supportive, high-growth environment.
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities:
- Invoicing & Ledgers: Processing purchase invoices, preparing monthly sales invoices, and reconciling supplier statements.
- Banking: Daily bank reconciliations and reconciling company credit cards.
- Credit Control: Assisting with customer account management, sending bill reminders, and resolving payment queries.
- Payroll Support: Assisting with payroll time-sheet management and processing.
- Reporting: Helping the team prepare reports for management and assisting with month-end closing tasks.
- Administration: General accounts work and ad-hoc office duties as required by the Finance team.
Requirements:
- 2/3 years' experience working in a similar role.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage or similar accounts packages is an advantage but not essential.
- High attention to detail, a positive "can-do" attitude, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and fluent English are essential.
