Morgan McKinley is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong I.T. background to fulfil a contract assignment with our client - a high-profile global pharmaceutical organisation.
This role represents a significant opportunity to apply your project management expertise to the delivery of mission-critical projects within a regulated environment.
About the Role:
Working within the IT Department, this role will lead and manage IT projects, focusing on the rollout of an SAP Extended Warehouse Mobility solution. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external third-party service providers to establish project plans and successfully implement new applications and services. The Project Manager is expected to work autonomously in managing meetings, preparing agendas, distributing minutes, tracking action items, and providing regular status updates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Lifecycle Management: Responsible for project initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
- Project Delivery: Effectively manage a range of projects using best practices and adhering to the required Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies.
- Business Analysis: Gather requirements through interviews and workshops, document current and future state models, and create use cases and test scenarios.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively manage issues, risks, and organisational change to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Coordinate issue resolution with internal and external technical support providers.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure appropriate IT processes, procedures, and standards are followed and that project schedules, financials, scope, and performance requirements are met.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to deliver critical projects in a regulated environment.
Key Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related Science field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Essential experience in rolling out SAP Extended Warehouse Mobility solutions and associated supply chain processes.
- A proven track record of leading small-to-mid-sized teams is a must-have.
- Demonstrated ability to manage several complex projects concurrently.
- Must have effective project management and facilitation skills with a proven ability to lead teams through complex requirements sessions and create business requirements documents.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, such as GMP, is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical capabilities.
- Must be an excellent communicator and be autonomous in the management of meetings.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
