I am seeking to recruit an experienced QC Laboratory Manager (Chemistry) for a leading pharmaceutical company that is working to expand it's operations within Ireland. As this company is experiencing a period of growth, this will be an excellent opportunity for someone who has previous experience setting up a lab for success, implementing processes, procedures and KPIs to ensure daily operations run smoothly. The successful candidate will ideally have 10 years' of pharmaceutical industry experience and showcase passion for knowledge sharing, coaching and training their team.
- This is a permanent role based fully on-site in Tipperary

Duties will include:
- Implement testing processes and infrastructure.
- Lead laboratory operations and schedule daily activities for the team.
- Management of all analytical methods and specifications related to change controls
- Management of the lab investigations and technical transfer programs.
- Management of contract laboratory testing.
- Directly liaise with the regulatory department and regulatory authorities on Lab regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with all relevant departments to ensure smooth operation and all compliance standards are maintained
- Developing next level leadership in QC/ARD and supporting cross functions to support strategic expansion of site for future readiness.
- Strategic expansion of lab capabilities working with external partners (India /US) to support organisation growth.
- Supporting the Head of Quality with expansion of quality control operations.
- Identifying processes to streamline and improve efficiency (practices, resource and budgets) within the quality control department and develop KPIs for monitoring throughout the year.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors / Master's Degree in Chemistry
- Minimum of 10 years' experience working in a Pharmaceutical Chemistry laboratory environment
- Minimum 3 years' on leadership experience at manager or lab supervisor level with a deep understanding of business operations is required.
- Experience in conducting internal audits.
- Good coaching and team development skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
