The Role
Are you an experienced Operations or Management Accountant ready to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment? We're seeking a proactive finance professional to partner with our Financial Controller, driving operational excellence and financial insight across our Fethard site.
In this role, you'll enhance site-level reporting, strengthen cost control, and champion continuous improvement across yield, stock, labour, and efficiency metrics. Working closely with both operational teams and senior finance leaders, you'll ensure financial accuracy, deliver meaningful analysis, and foster a culture of accountability and performance.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with the Financial Controller to deliver accurate and insightful weekly and monthly plant reporting.

Reconcile commercial results with P&L gross margins, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

Develop robust business cases through well-structured proposals for senior review.

Contribute to operational performance meetings, identifying improvement opportunities and enabling data-driven decisions.

Analyse and report on:

Yield performance and labour efficiency

SKU mix impact on cost, yield, and labour

Operational expenditure and inventory movement

Identify and report R&D tax credit opportunities across the site.
The Ideal Candidate
You're a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for operational excellence and a proven ability to bridge the gap between finance and production.

Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Experience in site finance, management accounting, or operational finance.

Background in manufacturing or FMCG environments.

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Skilled communicator, confident engaging with both operational teams and senior stakeholders.
