We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Limerick. This high-impact contract role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced GMP environment, balancing cross-functional collaboration with end-to-end technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end project execution, mechanical equipment, utility, and facility project lifecycles from initial scoping, and delivery through to installation, C&Q, and final site handover.
Utilise paperless validation tools (e.g., KNEAT) to execute change controls, validation protocols, and commissioning documentation in full compliance with GDP and cGMP standards.
Oversee technical specifications, P&IDs, URS creation, vendor package reviews, and FAT/SAT protocols for complex automated production lines and mechanical systems.
Partner closely with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, and Automation teams to resolve technical roadblocks, lead safety risk assessments, and execute site updates seamlessly.
Liaise with external vendors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and mechanical contractors to ensure deliverables meet tight timelines, budget constraints, and safety guidelines.
Skills, Attributes & Experience
Third-level degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
2+ years of hands-on project engineering experience within a highly regulated GMP environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or High-Volume MedTech manufacturing).
Strong background in mechanical equipment scoping, troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuous improvement.
Ability to work full-time onsite 5 days a week at the Limerick facility.
Strong communications and stakeholder management skills
