We are seeking a Operations Director to join the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.
This is a build-and-scale opportunity. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day operations while leading the commissioning and operational ramp-up of a new advanced manufacturing facility.
You will shape the operating model, scale the workforce, and ensure production performance, quality, and delivery targets are achieved in line with ambitious growth plans.
Full accountability for production output across multiple advanced manufacturing processes.
Lead facility commissioning, including equipment installation, validation, staffing, and production transfer.
Drive capacity planning, scheduling, and on-time delivery across multi-shift operations.
Embed a right-first-time culture with strong root cause and corrective action discipline.
Ensure ongoing regulatory and audit readiness within a medical device framework.
Partner closely with Quality to maintain best-in-class compliance standards.
Oversee procurement, vendor performance, inventory management, and logistics.
Track operational KPIs including yield, scrap, margin, and delivery performance.
Support commercial decision-making through accurate capacity and cost insight.
Scale and develop a growing manufacturing team.
Maintain a strong shop-floor presence and visible leadership style.
Build internal capability and leadership bench strength.
Contribute to long-term operational and capital investment strategy.
Drive practical Lean implementation with measurable results.
Advance automation and digital manufacturing systems integration.
10+ years' leadership experience in precision manufacturing operations.
Background in regulated, high-tolerance production environments (e.g., medical device, aerospace, or similar).
Hands-on leader with strong floor engagement.
Demonstrated experience scaling operations or commissioning new facilities.
Commercially astute, KPI-driven, and comfortable linking operational performance to financial outcomes.
Strong people leader with a track record of building capable, accountable teams.
