Automation Project Leads (DCS / MES)

We are currently seeking two experienced Automation Project Leads to join a global leader at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Cork. These are high-visibility roles overseeing significant investment in site automation, offering long-term stability via a 12-month rolling contract structure.
We are looking for technical leaders who can bridge the gap between business requirements and engineering execution.
Position 1: Technical Lead - DCS/MES Integration
This role focuses on the integration of DCS and MES layers to drive digital transformation on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical authority for DeltaV and Syncade integration projects.
- Lead workshops with business units to capture requirements and define design solutions.
- Clearly communicate technical designs to the engineering team and lead them through the full implementation phase.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading a project team through a full DCS/MES integration lifecycle.
- Deep technical proficiency in Emerson DeltaV and Syncade.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Position 2: Project Lead - DCS (Foxboro)
This role focuses on the design and coordination of DCS-specific implementation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a technical team through the design, coding, and testing phases of Foxboro projects.
- Work closely with the business to develop robust design solutions.
- Technically coordinate the implementation team to ensure project milestones are met.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Project Lead or Technical Lead capacity.
- Expert-level knowledge of Foxboro systems.
- Ability to manage the full engineering lifecycle from design to site acceptance.
Essential Criteria for Both Roles
- Industry Experience: Direct experience within a validated Pharmaceutical environment is essential.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and Computer System Validation (CSV).
- Leadership: A track record of leading technical teams on complex automation projects.
