About the Role
We are collaborating with a professional services firm that is looking to hire an In-House Legal Counsel on a permanent basis. In this position, you will be tasked with managing and executing a broad range of critical legal and compliance activities for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Data Protection Governance Framework, ensuring the implementation and monitoring of data protection policies and procedures.
- Provide training to the wider team on relevant employee law topics.
- Handle various risk and compliance responsibilities, including drafting and reviewing NDAs, managing AML efforts, and maintaining the Risk Register.
- Review and draft property contracts, licenses, and associated legal documents.
- Lead the legal review process for merger and acquisition transactions, offering strategic insights and oversight regarding legal risks, structures, and documentation.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar or related role, along with a legal qualification.
- Ideally, you will hold a Solicitor qualification and possess exposure to and interest in HR matters.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
- Capability to devise solutions for significant legal and compliance issues across the firm.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
