Graduate Project Engineer (Mechanical Engineer)

Role Overview
This opportunity is ideal for a graduate mechanical engineer with up to 2 years of project engineering experience.
The role sits within the Engineering function and is responsible for the management of assigned projects from order placement through to delivery to the customer. The role requires a combination of project management proficiency and technical acumen to ensure effective project execution and fulfilment of delivery requirements in alignment with customer expectations and on-time delivery commitments. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction and coordination with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects from order placement to delivery. Plans and implements engineering programs, including defining the project activities, milestones, and documentation submittals per customer requirements.
- Review and evaluate detailed and extensive technical specifications for packaged equipment. Extracts applicable client requirements and translates / communicates specifications to subcontractors, sub-vendors and internal organization.
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinates delivery of project deliverables and carries out preparation of project documentation submittals.
- Liaises with engineering team in preparation of detailed drawing packages for client approval & production drawings.
- Assists with development of budgets and project cost estimates, controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
- Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project. Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.
- Identifies and manages subcontract vendors as required for project completion including satisfactory performance to quality and delivery standards.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases in respect of and coordination with customer requirements.
- Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.
- Undertake project related travel within Ireland and abroad.
- Other duties as required.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- From 0 - 2 years' experience.
- Experience of 2D or 3D drawing packages.
- MS Office experience (Excel, Word)
