QA Engineer (Solution Delivery)

Job Overview:
The QA Engineer will form an integral part of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that new and existing systems are thoroughly tested, fit for purpose, and meet defined functional and non-functional requirements.
This role is responsible for designing and executing detailed test plans (manual and automated), identifying defects, supporting user acceptance testing, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes and tools. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Development, Planning, and Business teams to deliver high-quality solutions across the organisation.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to all aspects of the solution delivery testing process across new and existing functionality
- Review and analyse functional, technical, and non-functional requirements
- Design, document, and execute detailed test cases aligned to requirements
- Define and document test strategies for both manual and automated testing
- Perform system, regression, performance, and security testing
- Execute test automation scripts and review results
- Log and track defects using test management tools
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and sign-off
- Liaise with Product Managers, Product Owners, Development teams, and business stakeholders to resolve defects
- Assess and contribute to the selection of testing tools
- Provide testing estimates for future projects
- Support live systems post-deployment where required
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the testing function
Job Requirements
- 4+ years' experience in software testing / QA
- Strong experience with test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail
- Experience designing and executing both manual and automated test cases
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with Java, Web Services, and SQL
- Experience testing database-driven applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience with performance or security testing tools
- Experience testing AI solutions or leveraging AI tools within the testing lifecycle
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
