The Opportunity
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a qualified Solicitor OR Barrister (8+ yrs PQE) to join the specialized Tax Disputes practice of a global professional services firm in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Appeals & Dispute Resolution: Prepare, manage, and advocate on tax disputes before the Tax Appeals Commission (TAC) and appellate courts.
- Revenue Interventions & Audits: Assist corporate clients during Revenue audits, investigations, position papers, and risk assessments to achieve strategic settlements.
- Tax Advisory & Risk Mitigation: Advise multinational enterprises on local and cross-border tax compliance risks, anti-avoidance rules, and dispute prevention strategies.
- Multidisciplinary Delivery: Collaborate closely with corporate tax advisors, forensic accountants, and international legal networks to deliver end-to-end litigation and advisory solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Solicitor OR Barrister
- 8+ years PQE with exposure to tax disputes, revenue audits, commercial litigation, or tax advisory (CTA / AITI qualification or progress towards it is advantageous).
- Strong technical grasp of Irish tax legislation, administrative procedure, and litigation principles.
- Excellent written advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering commercial solutions in high-stakes dispute environments.
