An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Manager to join a leading multinational FMCG organisation.
This role will play a key part in developing and implementing the organisation's national sustainability strategy, while also supporting a wider international sustainability function.
As the successful candidate, you will work closely with senior management and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to embed sustainability across the business and strengthen its sustainability credentials.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and implement the organisation's sustainability strategy
- Track performance against key sustainability metrics and targets
- Manage annual sustainability reporting and accreditation
- Support compliance with sustainability legislation and reporting requirements
- Partner with customers, suppliers, producers and other external stakeholders
- Advise senior management on emerging sustainability legislation and trends
- Lead the internal sustainability working group
- Support wider international sustainability initiatives and projects
- Champion sustainable practices across the organisation
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in a sustainability role
- Experience within FMCG, retail, agribusiness or a similar sector is advantageous
- Strong understanding of sustainability reporting, metrics and regulatory requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating across a wider international organisation
