This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a growing organisation at an exciting stage of its development. You'll play a key role within the finance function, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business and gaining broad exposure within a dynamic, international environment.
The role will suit a qualified accountant who enjoys a hands-on position, has strong technical accounting experience and wants to be part of a high-performing team with a strong culture and genuine opportunities for development.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for a broad range of financial accounting and reporting activities, including:
- Leading month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger management
- Journals, accruals, prepayments and other month-end activities
- Financial analysis and variance reporting
- Supporting statutory reporting, audit and tax requirements
- Maintaining and enhancing financial controls
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
- Working closely with operations, manufacturing and other key business functions
- Supporting inventory accounting, costing and manufacturing variance analysis
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems
- Contributing to wider finance projects and initiatives as the team continues to grow
About You
You will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong financial accounting experience gained in a commercial environment (ideally 6+ years).
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong month-end and financial reporting experience
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge
- Experience working within a multinational or international environment
- Strong Excel and ERP systems experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A commercially minded approach
* Manufacturing experience at some stage in your career is highly desirable, particularly exposure to inventory, product/standard costing, manufacturing variances or working closely with operations. However, candidates with a strong financial accounting background from other industries will also be considered.
