We're seeking a highly motivated Strategic Planning & Operations Manager to join our External Supply Operations team. In this pivotal role, you will lead new product introductions and coordinate product transfers into our external manufacturing partners, while also advancing key systems and processes related to site selection, launches, and technical transfer management.
You will lead cross-functional teams, manage project milestones, integrate external supplier functions, and provide recommendations to drive strategic initiatives, business performance, and operational improvements. This role requires strong project management skills, the ability to navigate complex projects, and excellent communication abilities to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new product introduction activities for launches and tech transfers to CMOs.
- Provide strategic direction for external manufacturing technical transfer and NPI activities, coordinating cross-functional teams (Quality, Process Development, Supply Chain, etc.).
- Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource needs for multiple medium to high complexity projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, manage scope changes, and stay informed of industry trends.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools to ensure on-time, within-budget, and high-quality project delivery.
- Communicate project updates and reporting to leadership and internal partners.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, efficiency, and alignment within organizational priorities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate, Master's (with 2+ years experience), Bachelor's (with 4+ years experience), Associate's (with 10+ years experience), or High School Diploma/GED (with 12+ years experience) within a cGMP manufacturing or quality environment.
- Strong organizational and cross-functional project management skills.
- Solid technical background with understanding of pharmaceutical manufacture and commercialization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Experience managing and influencing in a matrix organization.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
